I just received my first tabletop ice maker, it was packaged very well, put it on my countertop and before I could get the blue film & boxes picked up it was already making ice. ?? I was shocked how fast it made the ice!!! And it’s not noisy like I’ve read in other reviews. So far I love it! And I don’t usually buy brands I’ve never heard of or used before. But I decided to try this one because of the reviews and customer reviews on other sites naming this ice maker and other models in the top 10. Even better caught this one on sale!!!!

I am a chronic ice eater. This is my third countertop ice maker in 12 years of using them 24/7. I haven’t bought this brand before but they all seem the same to me.
I tried to include pictures of everything I’d like to know. The last picture is a side by side of the average size portable ice maker.
When I received it, I thought I’d have to send it back. I was afraid it wouldn’t fit underneath my upper cabinets. Once I started making ice, I noticed the cubes are about a half inch longer than the smaller ice maker.

At first, really nice, chewable nuggets. Not too load, but not quiet. You know it is there and working. I can live with that. Makes ice at a decent rate, but like most of these machines, ice piles up, machine shuts off, and you have to flatten the pile so it knows to keep working. They all seem to suffer from this. Requires intervention. And then the shoe drops. A really load squealing noise. What is that? Mfg says turn off, drain, refill, restart. It wasn’t dirty! That works, but every day? Sometimes every two days if lucky. This baby requires lots of tender loving care to keep it making ice. And that painful noise. Please stop . If the mfg tells me one more time to celan the clean machine … You get it. I mean, don’t get it. Look for an alternative instead.

The unit is very easy to clean due to the removable lid and self clean cycle. This is a major improvement from my previous countertop unit. It’s a little noisy, but pretty much on-par with every other countertop unit I’ve ever been around.
The ice it makes is nice. The are small cubes around the same size as commercial nugget ice. However, they are more dense and less flaky than true nugget ice. They are still chewable and make great drinks, but if you’re going to be disappointed if it’s not exactly “Sonic ice” or Scottsman, then you should be aware of this. This is my first home nugget machine so I have nothing else to compare on this scale, only the commercial machines.
Overall I feel like I got a good deal for the price paid and plan to keep it.

My wife ordered this and has loved it! She’s made two gallon zip lock bag worth. Easy to use. Easy to clean. Easy setup.
Like that it has a drain for after you’ve made ice.
She likes that it is very similar to sonic ice
